Earlier in the week, I received this month’s LoveLula Beauty Box; if you haven’t heard of it before, it’s a really great value subscription box that’s great for trying different green beauty products and brands, without having to spend a fortune. A recurring subscription will cost you £13.95 a month, however the products in the box are always worth more… the value of the products in this month’s box is £65! I’m a fairly new subscriber, having received my first box in January.
Similar to the January box, this month’s box consists of four skincare products, three of which are full size and one of which is a deluxe sample size. I’m getting a little bit of a back-log of facial products now, so there are a couple which I’ll have to hold off from trying until I’ve used up other products first!
Here’s what was included in this month’s box:
- Ooh! Oils of Heaven Avocado Face Oil: This is the first product I’ve had from Oils of Heaven, so I’m really excited to try it once I’ve used up the facial oil I’ve got on the go at the moment! It’s a brand new product, which LoveLula have released exclusively to their Beauty Box subscribers before it hits the shelves! The oil is cold-pressed from avocado pulp and is rich in omega-3 and vitamins A, D and E, which provide your skin with deep hydration. As I say, I haven’t tried this yet, but I have heard great things about the Oils of Heaven product range in the past; they’re owned by Amarya, who also own LoveLula and Balm Balm. I can’t find any details online as to whether they’re certified organic, vegan or cruelty-free, however knowing LoveLula’s ethos, I know they’re a brand that can be trusted! This new face oil will be hitting the shelves soon at LoveLula, at £19 for a 30ml bottle.
- Madara Exfoliating Oil-to-Milk Scrub: Although they’re a bit pricey for me, I’ve been able to try a few Madara products recently that I’ve either received in LoveLula boxes or had as free gifts with an order. I must admit, as enjoyable as they have been to use, I haven’t seen enough benefit from previous Madara products I’ve used to warrant paying the high prices. However, on first impressions, I think this product might be an exception! I love the subtle smell and the texture of this gentle scrub, and after one use my skin feels softer and looks more radiant. It’s formulated with apricot and oat oil molecules which bind dirt and impurities and lift them from the skin, and contains natural wax microbeads (biodegradable, so not harmful to the environment!) to polish the skin and clear clogged pores. It’s available individually for £24 at LoveLula; Madara’s products are certified organic and cruelty-free.
- UrbanVeda Hydrating Toner: This month’s box contained a toner from UrbanVeda; I received the Radiance Hydrating Toner, although some subscribers received the Purifying, Reviving or Soothing toner instead. This is another product I’m going to put aside for now, as I currently have about three other toners on the go, however I’m looking forward to giving it a try soon. The Radiance toner is formulated with turmeric, papaya and goji berry (as well as a whole concoction of other botanics and antioxidants), which encourage luminous skin. UrbanVeda are certified cruelty-free, with many of their products also being certified vegan; their toners are currently on sale at LoveLula for £9.74, but are usually £12.99.
- Pure & Light Essential Face Cream (15ml sample): I’d never heard of Pure & Light until I received this sample in this month’s box, so it’s been interesting to give one of their most popular products a try! I really love the smell and texture of this face cream, and it’s really easily absorbed into the skin. It’s rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants, and is suitable for all skin types and concerns. At £34 for a 50ml bottle from LoveLula, it’s a bit too far out of my budget for me to purchase at the moment, however I’d still recommend it based on my impressions so far. Pure & Light’s products are organic, vegan and cruelty-free.
Once again, I’ve been really impressed with this month’s box and with the value of the products; to have three full-sized products that I know I’ll definitely use, as well as a deluxe-sized sample, is great! I’m really looking forward to March’s box, although hoping there may be a bit of a variety of products other than just skincare, as I’ve got a lot of duplicate products at the moment!
